Buck's Bio
|
As the picture inside Buck's recent CD - "A WORK IN PROGRESS" depicts, Buck's first inspiration to play pedal
steel guitar came from his dad when he was only 11 years of age. Buck's dad James, a well known steel guitarist in the
northeast for 40 plus years, also provided some six string guitar and basic theory instruction and insisted that Buck
work on those two things for a couple of years before taking on pedal steel. A few short years and a few local bands later,
Buck's big break came in 1982 at the age of 21. Buck was offered a job with country music artist John Anderson and moved to
Nashville from his hometown of Boylston, in upstate New York. After touring and recording with John for 8 years, he then went
on to either perform or record with many artist's including; Rob Crosby, Martin DelRay, Bailey and The Boys, Chely
Wright, Michelle Wright, Keith Urban and The Ranch, Jerry Kilgore, Diamond Rio, Marcus Hummons, Farmers Daughter (Canadian
Trio), Confederate Railroad, South 65, Mark Miller of Sawyer Brown, LeAnn Rimes, Sting, and is approaching his 18th season
working with Lyle Lovett and his Large Band.
